Joint Systems
Joint Installation: Joint systems are used to ensure control of cracking; provide division into practical construction increments; accommodate slab movement; and provide load transfer. IPCC has years of expertise with successful installations of numerous joint systems including Evazote, SilicaFlex and Asphaltic Plug systems and has matching expertise in sealing those systems with single and two component joint sealants.
Joint Repairs: Sawing and sealing of expansion joints in asphalt and concrete is done quickly and precisely. Existing joints and cracks in concrete and asphalt are rehabilitated by the use of saws and routers. Cutting can be done wet or dry. Once the old material is removed the joints are sandblasted or pressure washed and resealed with new material. Backer rod is installed and the joint is filled with sealant which can be composed of numerous materials including silicone, preformed compression seals, and hot pour bituminous liquid. IPCC has applicated all forms of approved sealants including Silicone, Hot Applied and Neoprene.
Joint Sealing: IPCC has successfully completed the sealing and repair of joints with approved sealant materials for high movement applications including airfield pavement and roadway surfaces. IPCC has applicated all forms of approved sealants including Silicone, Hot Applied and Neoprene.
